Welcome to my world

I'm Sara, 23 years old living on the Gold Coast. I moved here 5 years ago from Adelaide, South Australia with my Dad. My younger sister Chloe (20) had already came up here a couple of months before with my Dads partner Sue and her daughter Amy (23) as she wanted to begin school at the start of the year. When we moved here we only knew family friends who had moved here a couple of years before, who we don't see all that often anymore.



Our family has grown since living here, with 2 new additions. My brother Pauls' (25) fiancee Sarah (26), who moved here from Germany a few years ago and my Nephew James 15 months (chloes' son). Soon there will be a new addition to our family as my sister Chloe is 11 weeks pregnant with her 2nd child (hope she has a girl this time) with her boyfriend Carl.



Life has been quite hard for me since moving here, with having to adapt, look for new friends and a new job and start a new life. I have had many hurdles to get through and life has been very up and down for me, but things are improving and I am feeling happy about things.



I felt lonely when I first moved here not knowing anyone and I began pen palling. I have made some great friends through pen palling and sure I will be friends with them for life, especially Heili and Heather.



Now I have made some great friends, that I love spending time with. Nicole is one of my best friends, unfortunately we don't get to see eachother as often as I'd like to as she lives in Brisbane, but I love meeting up with her and her girls Ella and Ava at South Bank and going for a swim. Then there is Renee another good friend, we try to catch up once a week or fortnight.

I enjoy going to the movies, watching dvds, go shopping and out to lunch and coffee with friends. :)

I am currently studying certificate 3 in children's services and will begin work experience soon. Once completed I want to work as a nanny for a couple of years, before running my own business, a family day care.
